Was part of the implementation team to customize the General Ledger Module of Peoplesoft Financials to suit the requirements of LCI. Involved in data conversion and import from the legacy system using PL/SQL & SQR, modifying the panels & tables using PeopleTools, writing triggers using PeopleCode, Customizing the delivered reports and creating new reports using SQR.
Presently working as a technical lead for data conversion on the HRMS system - implementing the HR, Benefits and Payroll modules. Responsible for the data conversion and import effort from several sources including an offsite Payroll processing Service using PL/SQL, SQR & PeopleSoft Import Manager.
Also responsible to create some of the interfaces required to supply/receive data to/from service/benefit providers such as ADP, Aetna, CIGNA and others using SQR. Also responsible to customize the delivered reports and creating new reports using SQR. Also responsible for Modular and System Testing.

* Consultant for Zen Securities Ltd., (since April 1992), a major stock Broker - Members of the National Stock Exchange, Hyderabad Stock Exchange, OTC Exchange of India. - Associated with it from the inception of its computerization and designed and developed Applications in the areas of - Stock Broker accounting, IPO Placements, IPO Underwriting Risk Analysis, Equity Analysis and Portfolio Management.
Most of the applications were initially developed in FOXPRO and COBOL. The site has a 16 node Novell Netware LAN. These applications were later ported to an ORACLE DBMS. Forms 4.5, Reports 2.5 and PL/SQL were extensively used to build a high performance Client/Server System.
* Managed a Conversion project for a 200 bed hospital from COBOL / FOXPRO in LAN environment to a Client-Server system using ORACLE 7.1 and Developer/2000. Patient information/billing from registration to discharge, Inventory, purchasing, financial accounting were some of the modules.
* Designed and managed the computerization of the Hyderabad Stock Exchange. All the related settlement work between the member brokers such as financial settlement and the physical delivery of the share certificates etc. was implemented by this package. Software used was NOVELL Netware, UNIFY database, DBASE III and FOXPRO in a LAN environment.
* Designed and developed a Hotel Management package - all the operational centers were connected by a PC LAN. DBASEIII and C were used.
* Worked on a retainer basis for UNICEF's Local office to train and help them with computerization as per their HQ guidelines. Developed project appraisal and monitoring package for them. Software used was DBASE and LOTUS 1-2-3.
* Also worked on a similar basis with OXFAM, another UK based volunteer agency to monitor the projects sponsored by them.

* Designed and developed Employee information System.
* Cyborg Payroll System was customized and implemented.
* Loral, being a US Defense Contractor, was required to furnish regular Job Costing Reports. Systems design and programming was done for these Reports as per the guidelines set.
* All the above projects were done on Burroughs (presently Unisys) 6800 series using COBOL and DMSII Database.
Software Consultant (1980 to 1982)
TekMark Computer Services, New York
* Developed an integrated package for M/s. Consolidated Cigar Company (a unit of Gulf + WESTERN) for monitoring their product sales, Order Processing Using NCR Optical Scanner, Sales planning, Inventory Control, MIS etc. All the applications were developed on Burroughs 6800 Series Mainframe using COBOL and ISAM Files.
* Developed a Portfolio Management and Reporting System for Morgan Guarantee Trust, New York, for their high net worth clients on a Burroughs 800 Minicomputer using DMSII Database and COBOL.
Applications Programmer (1979 to 1980)
Tata Burroughs Ltd., New York
* Ported and Rewrote applications involving Workmen Compensation Insurance and Disability Payment System for the New York State Insurance Fund. These applications were ported to a Burroughs 6800 series mainframe from an IBM Autocoder machine. These programs were rewritten in COBOL using DMSII.
Applications Programmer (1978 to 1979)
ORG Systems, Baroda, India
* Worked as a member of the Project team which developed the first ORG Basic Compiler on Intel Z80 based Micro Computer using machine code and Macro Assembler. Developed commercial application programs viz. Payroll, Inventory Control, Financial Accounting etc. on the Z80 based microcomputer (ORG_2001) in ORG_BASIC.
